Well, not exactly. But I am now a Vice President. Sure, it’s only for the Midwest Chapter of the Mystery Writers of America, but that’s still pretty cool (I was the only candidate, and they had blackmail information to make me run BUT STILL…) In addition to the web duties, I’ll be working on scheduling meetings and on the MWA booth at the Printer’s Row book festival. Yay me! In other news, I’ve updated my EVENTS page with stuff for 2010. Check it out!
A bit of buzz around the net and in print. Here’s who’s talking: Crimespree Magazine has an interview with me in Issue 31 – the one with Brian Azzerelo on the cover. The big news: I don’t know if Diangelo will survive his current adventure. UPDATE: That interview is now online here. Robot6 over at Comicbookresources picked up my book at Comiccon. Last year, I shared an artist alley table with Dirk Tiede and we had a great time and did very well. This year, I was given an opportunity for something different. This year, I won’t be in artist alley, but in the main publishers area with Crimespree Magazine! And not only that, but the Crimespree booth looks like THE place to be next weekend. While I’m going to be there all weekend, look who’s going to be visiting: Schedule for signings at Crimespree Booth, Booth Read More +
Enough bad news about the economy and newspapers and comics. In about a week I’ll be driving to Columbus for SPACE, I’ve got a bunch of events in May and Printer’s Row in June. And I just got off the phone with Jon Jordan, editor of Crimespree Magazine, and I can’t wait to tell you about what’s happening in August. It’s going to be a good summer!
