In the martial arts world, it’s kind of like graduating kindergarten. But I’m still pretty happy that I can join the ranks of my daughters.
It was a morning of physical challenges (like 700 jumping jacks, a 2- mile run), then doing the forms we’d learned. We had to demonstrate our knowledge of techniques – 5 for each belt for a total of 45 – and then break five boards (not all at once).
I’m tired and sore, but I feel pretty good.
