It’s been a pretty good con – very well attended and sales have been good. Lot’s of people have been pleasantly surprised at the turnout and feel this con has the potential to turn into a real Indy-friendly event.
And I have to say – kudos to the Wizard World staff. Friendly, helpful and a great experience.

Something old, something new for Wizard World

And it’s the same thing: I have what we believe to be the last two boxes of the Twilight Tales editon of Something to build upon.
I’ll be selling there in Artist’s Alley all weekend, at table 3102, so stop by. And definitely visit the Jordan’s at Crimespree’s booth.
In other news, summer has been great and full of things going on – work and family. Comics, and you can guess, not so much. The daughter units graduated from 8th grade and are entering high school, and if we thought we’d get a moment to catch our breath we were wrong! Hope to start up again before the end of the year, but no promises.

Am i on hiatus?

I guess so, but it sure doesn’t feel that way. On the plus side, this gave me some time to figure out another plot twist, so it’s all good.
I’ll be at Printer’s Row with a host of great writers in a few weeks.
And I might have some great news about “Something to build upon” pretty soon!

Still grinding through

Yep, I’m still grinding through other things rather than cartooning. Just got done with ACEN, the anime con, and I have to admit it was pretty good.
I’m still working on some website work for other people, but I also have to help organize the MWA tent for Printers Row.
That brings us into mid-June before I can even think of drawing again. Thanks for your patience.

Daughter units 1 and 2 earned their black belts in Tai Kwon Do yesterday. They’re super sore today but also very satisfied.
Tons of cousins, friends and grandparents turned out to watch.
And, oh yeah, a couple of super proud parents too.

Feeling better, but now …!?

Aaah! I finally slept through the night and woke up not feeling like Mucus Man (a supererhero noone wants to be).
I’m still a bit fuzzy around the edges but I can handle that.
Now I’ve got to catch up on all the things I should have been doing instead of sitting around like a mope – updating a few websites, bills, taxes and, yes, cartooning.
I plan on a new strip Friday. Stay healthy!

I am now a high-brown belt

These are my hands after I did a double back-fist strike to break two boards at once. I missed a bit with my right hand and didn’t connect with my knuckles, which is why I’m a bit scraped up, bloody and bruised on the back.

But yes, I do feel kind of bad-ass!
